Leech Life will absorb .33x (Roughly 1/3rd) of the damage done. This includes the overkill damage (for example, dealing 300 damage to a target with 1HP will still absorb 100HP) and also damage absorbed by Mystic Shield.
Early in development, the Duelist used to be known as the "Tempest." This can be seen in the internal game files, where Duelist is referred to as "TEMP."
